#SmallBusinessSaturday

Reasons why joining my site is a great idea:

1.) I update weekly, sometimes several times a week. (mostly videos)

2.) I host several member’s shows each week, no matter what, there are never cancelled shows.

3.) I am approachable, available and very interactive.

4.) My site is 100% me – pictures, videos, emails, tweets, personality. I am who I am on screen and behind the computer. There is no one other than myself that you will talk to if you send me a message.

5.) You receive more than most sites give you and they charge double the price.

6.) You gain access to all of the VNALive network – daily LIVE cam shows by big names and amateurs alike!

7.) I am a small business.

A Day to Recognize as Special.

Today is Outlaw’s birthday, and this is one day that should be recognized and celebrated. He is my longest running member, and that, in itself, is pretty fucking amazing, but besides that, he is a stand up gentleman who has proven to be a good friend and a loyal one at that. Longest running member, and loyal friend do go hand in hand. He has jumped three networks with me in the 12+ years that I have been online, and that does not include all of the many cam sites that I have tried over that time period, all of which he has joined with me.

Outlaw, I do wish you nothing but the happiest of days, and I, although, I encourage this big purge of your last 20 years, I want you to take a break today. Get out. Celebrate you. Have a cigar. Enjoy friends. Do something for you.

I am so excited for your #newbeginnings. It is something you need and your days will be full of what you are passionate about. This change, although, terrifying and uncertain, is good, positive change for you. I am happy that you have the strength to make such a leap.

Happy, happy birthday to you!

Current Keeps the Water From Becoming Stagnant

Alright, so I have had a hard time finding motivation, as of lately, and some of that is the fact that I am bored with the same days always spent online. That is not to say that I am tired of being on cam. That just simply is not the case. However, change is good and it keeps life interesting and hopefully will keep it from being boring.

Anyway, to the point. I have decided to take Sundays off for the next couple of months, which means I will be online for Saturdays. This will be a broken day because I will be online for a few hours in the orning/early afternoon and then do my grocery shopping, getting back online after I am home. So, at least a 2 hour break..

So, I hope that I will continue to see some of you over the weekend, despite the change in day that I am online.

Amber, You Are a Gem

Amber, you are an absolute sweetheart and meeting you during my last trip to Texas proved you are even sweeter than I imagined. You are always so thoughtful and caring, even when you are not feeling well yourself. So, thank you for always being you!

After we met you sent me a big box of surprises to begin my new life (#newbeginnings) and it was full of everything I need to start a photo album/scrapbook. Thank you! I have not started one yet, but I will and you gave me a jump start on what I need to do that.

Do You Have a Favorite Holiday?

It is no secret that my favorite day of the year happens to be a holiday, and it falls during my favorite month, November. I have always loved Thanksgiving, even as a child. It holds sweet memories for me and I cherish those, even decades later. It is the one day when people slow down and enjoy the company of others. It does not matter if it is friends, strangers or family. This is a day when people realize what they have to be thankful for and are generous with their time, in helping others and sharing love. It is a time when people are not in stores spending money, or rushing through their day to get to their next obligation. It is a day that people come together to reconnect, to share their news over the last year and to enjoy telling old stories. Young and old, this is a day that people enjoy each other over food and laughter. Hopefully laughter.

My favorite day is Thanksgiving. What is yours?

Step Away From the News

It could definitely be said that there is a huge dividing line between parties that have spread so much hate throughout the people. And, I say this as impartial as possible. It is happening from all sides. The Liberals, Democrats, Republicans and everything in between. It is disgusting. This is a rare post for me because I have kept politics out of my cam room, blog and especially my site. And, to be honest, this is not as much an opinion post, as it is a solid suggestion.

No matter how you voted,  or what you think about your fellow voters, turn it off today. With today’s news organizations blasting elections for years before we go to the polls, we are all on overload. Just walk away for the day. I see so many people on Social Media consumed with other people and their opinions, or arguing over a topic that will never be resolved online. Turn it off. No matter how the election goes today, you will survive. It is true, times might be tough for a bit, but you will ultimately survive. Be smart in your every day. Take care of you and your family. Tomorrow will be another day. I have never seen so much contempt in the human race. And, please do not use this thread as an outlet to spew more hate and opinions. It is not just with the current president, but it was going on for the last two.. That is over a decade of hate that has been simmering. Do not add to it, and just stop. You will be mentally healthier for it.

Now, with that said, get off the computer with your speeches and go lobby, or join congress. It is never too late to do this, and you will make a difference in person, more so than you ever will consuming your everyday on Social Media and in the confines of your home…

What I am suggesting is that maybe you allow yourself a break today, and tomorrow you won’t wake up near as upset and angry.

Happy First Day of My Favorite Month!

It is November and boy, has this year gone fast. There were days when I thought felt like I was in limbo and could not see the forest through the trees, but here we are, beginning the eleventh month of 2018. This is my absolute favorite month, and I am so looking forward to the holiday’s this year, for the first time in many, many years. I already know that this news of me embracing the holiday’s might come as a shock to many, and even a disappointment to a few. I admit, I made a great grinch and I wore that hat with obnoxious pride. I cannot deny it though, I no longer have a sense of hatred for the holiday’s. #newbeginnings

So, back to November and how it is my favorite month of the year, and it has been since I was a child. It is the changing of the seasons, the days getting shorter, the temperatures colder, and the leaves changing color, the smells of cinnamon and pine cones in most homes.. it is just a good, warm feeling. But, more than that, this is the month of my favorite day of the year! This suprasses any other celebration, birthday or holiday. It is Thanksgiving and before I get lost in my excitement, let me just say that I really hate that it is not a worldwide holiday. It is a family day. Whether that be with blood relatives, or friends that you have picked up along the way and consider them to be family. This is a day when everyone slows down and enjoys reconnecting with those that are dear. It is the one day that no one cares about what car is driven, the sum of your bank account, the stress of schoolwork or responsibilities of adulthood. It is a day that should be cherished and appreciated.

So, if you are in the states and you have never thought of Thanksgiving to be all that special, you have three weeks to make a change. If you normally gather with your family, but it is not a happy time, or even a joyous occasion, then make other plans. You know, “friendsgiving” is a thing, and there is nothing wrong with doing something on this one day that is for you. It is a day that you should take to be around those you care about, and that make you feel good about yourself… and, if you don’t want to do that, there are other options. Yes, there are! No family. No friends. No problem! There are so many charitable organizations that do a lot for shut-ins and those that have had a tragic year. I am not talking about soup kitchens, but most communities (if not all) have a program to help those in need. The people that had a lot of loss in 2018, or the elderly that live alone, with no family left or anyone to check on them. Some towns even have a Thanksgiving dinner that they offer to the community and only ask for donations in return. You could help serve food, or clean up, or meet someone new that you never would have any other way.

Before I close, let me share a little bit of my childhood… kind of.

Thanksgiving was always a day that was happy in my house. I had a very loving home, but we had a lot of loss. People. Not possessions.

Mom and Granny would spend all day in the kitchen, after a week of planning. This was a good, heartfelt tradition passed on, and maintained, no matter how sad they were. That changed when I was around 12, but only because they had friends who adored my parents and had a much larger family and it was a bigger gathering. So, we started making a drive north of Austin, which was an hour outside of town back then. They would turn the garage into a game area for the dads and kids, while the rest would help in the kitchen where needed. When I was about 16 Dad and I decided to help my godparents at the community center. They owned the only restaurant in town and decided to start offering free meals. It did not matter how rich, or how poor, everyone was welcomed. They also had a team of people who offered to deliver meals to shut-ins and those who had no way of making it to the community center. It was fulfilling and I have great memories of the town coming together on one day to be happy, and reconnect.

If you are still reading, thank you. I do hope that you will find a way to enjoy this day, and make a change if needed..

I Was Olive Oyl

My Halloween costume was Olive Oyl. I was always Olive Oyl. The same plastic apron costume, with the creepy mask. I am sure that I have shared this with you before, but having been online for 12 years and being an active blogger for most of it, I cannot remember.

I can’t remember what my twin brother was, but he was probably Popeye, and that is why I was Olive Oyl. I don’t recall ever being a huge fan, although, I did laugh while watching the cartoon shows. In fact, knowing my parents, we did not choose the costumes, it was whatever Mom found at the store the first year and since they made sure we never “horsed” around while wearing them, they were in pristine shape every single year.

Do you remember what you were, and did you change costumes each year?

What is New in Your World?

It has been awhile since I have checked in with those of you that read my blog, so I thought today would be a perfect time to change that.

If you follow my tweets, read my blog and join me on cam, you probably know what is going on in my world, but, in the event that you are not up to date on the happenings in my world, allow me to share more:

Abby is 4 months old and I am positive that the terrible two’s have arrived and yes, they are real. She is getting taller, so she is lanky and still just as clumsy as ever. She has a vet appointment Tuesday for another round of puppy shots, but don’t worry, everyone that has to pet her for LOVE will give her a “cookie” or three. MtnMan’s strawberry patch that was overgrown has been tamed and destroyed. Thank you, Abby. I think he is going to remove all of that and replace it with Astro Turf.

I am only on cam today and tomorrow, and then will be offline through Sunday. We are going into the mountains and will be out of cell range most of the time, however, I will stay connected as much as possible. If you are a member, my site will continue to have Friday updates, and if you follow me on SnapChat, you will be able to join me in the mountains for some spur of the moment snaps..

We are just a few days away from my favorite month, and then only a couple weeks before my absolute favorite day. Thanksgiving.

That is all that comes to mind, for me, so now it is your turn. What is new in your world? I would love for you to respond with anything, even if you feel like it is minor.. like going to the local park for an evening stroll one last time before it turns cold…

Schedule Reminder

This week I will be offline Wednesday – Sunday, but that does not mean we won’t do the weekly membership shows.

Monday VNA at 11p EST

Monday night 11p EST 1 hour (this gives you access to the entire VNA LIVE network)

Tuesday on SM at 11p EST (this is the weekly show banner that can be found on the club page)

The Upcoming Week’s

It has been awhile since I have thrown a wrench in our schedules, so I figure it is time to do just that. This week I will be online Wednesday, not Thursday. That is not much of a change, but next week I won’t be online from Wednesday through Sunday. Mtnman is taking me into the mountains for a few days. We may pitch a tent, it depends on the weather and how cold the temps drop at night. The areas that we will be, will have very limited cell reception so I won’t be able to stay connected constantly, but I will check in when I am able to.

It has been awhile since we have been able to take a few days and get away, with the exception of the several trips to Texas over the last 18 months but those were anything but a vacation.

Member’s Show Tonight

I will be doing a 1 hour LIVE cam show tonight at 11p EST. This will be a full week of member shows, so if you are not able to make it tonight, you’ve still a chance to join me on Thursday. Be sure to click on the banner for the member’s cam show — >

Recipe Exchange

Would anyone be interested in a recipe exchange? It is kind of a take on cookie exchange, but with it not being the holiday’s yet, I thought sharing recipe’s would be more enticing and might gain some interest.

Yay or Nay?

Are You a Spring?

I absolutely love the fall. The cooler temps, the changing of the seasons, the colors. It is just breathtaking, and beautiful. The blazing hot days of August are behind us, the chilly nights and cold mornings are in front of us. I have always loved the fall. It is when the leaves start to fall and the wind picks up, leaving the blooms blown about, with a dusty layer over them. It is a sign of changing times.

What is your favorite season?

Meet Abby

Meet Abigail #abbythegolden

She is sweet, adorable and so loving, but she also has a spurt of puppy energy from time to time that makes me think she is full of piss and vinegar. I love her.

You All

Y’all

(pronoun)

You all; plural, more than one.

How are y’all doing?

You

(pronoun)

One person; singular

How are you doing?

….

“How are y’all doing” when you enter my cam room because you think it is cute, but there is only one of me, makes you look ridiculous. So, stop. Just stop! STOP!

Weekend Plans?

It has been awhile since we have had interaction here, so I thought I’d open a thread that hopefully some of you will respond to. What are your weekend plans?

I am going to an early morning soccer game, then home to let Abby out of her kennel for a bit while I make a grocery list and then go to the store. After that I have a list of stuff I am hoping to accomplish. But, we shall see. It seems my Saturday’s are full and I get a little bit done, but I am hopeful.

There are a few birthday’s this weekend, and that is exciting for me. Maybe not for you, but for me it is. I love every birthday there is and I truly believe they should all be celebrated. I was sworn off of 1 of the 3 upcoming birthday’s many years ago, but last year he made mention of it in my cam room, voiding out his earlier request for secrecy. Any guess as to who that might be? Go! Be quick because his day is tomorrow…

August: A Great Month

August was a great month on my site, with a couple week long specials and a good list of new joins. If you were one that took advantage of the “Hot August Nights”  special that ran the first week of the month, and you have rebilled for September, you need to email me (angel@lonestarangel.com) to collect on your prize. You had to choose between three (3) options and it is only valid if you rebill into September.

Sunrise or Sunset

Which do you prefer, a beautiful sunrise, or a peaceful sunset? I am torn on this one. I have a hard time waking up, but to experience a sunrise is so breathtaking and cleansing. It is as though the world is coming alive, together as one. The birds are chirping, the animals are starting to stir and the chickens are clucking. To see the sun rising over the horizon when the air is clean and the world is peacefully quiet is just amazing. With that said, a sunset is a time to reflect on the day. Everything is coming to an end, winding down and getting ready for the night time. Everything is abuzz, as the sun slowly descends on the next horizon, saying goodbye to us, while it is morning on the other side. It is so fascinating to think about it once you slow down long enough to truly appreciate it.

So, are you a sunrise or a sunset kind of person?

Puppy Pick Up Has Arrived ! ! !

When you read this, I will be holding a beautiful bundle of fur and happiness. She may or may not have a name by now, but regardless of that, she is already loved! I cannot wait to share her with you in tweets and an abundance of pictures. I think she will be an Instagram Golden because, well, why not? Instead of flooding my twitter TL with her #dailypics, I think an IG account is more fitting. With that said, she will also be on twitter. lol.

Weekend in PHX

Weekend in PHX

Our weekend in Phoenix was short, but packed with fun, mixed in with training. It was Rob’s birthday, which we spent at the ballpark watching the Braves, but we also made time to learn how to edit a video. Rob took the time to set it up prior to our arrival and it was a quick, but very informative couple of days. It is always great to see Rob and Dawn. They are good people who are generous with their time and knowledge, and always fun energy to be around. So, thank you both, for sharing your weekend with us, but especially a birthday. I hope to be able to expand on my video editing skills once I get a hang of what I am doing with the simple steps required.

Friday we did some day drinking and I am pretty sure that I was drunk and hung over all at the same time.

Saturday was the day that we went to the Braves game. I love ballparks. And, I ate a hot dog.

Sunday Dawn cooked breakfast for us and ChiDiablo. Have you ever had bacon cooked in the oven? If the answer is no, you need to stop what you are doing and throw a package in the oven right now. And, she made biscuits and gravy, which is my favorite. The gravy was perfect and the biscuits were fluffy. So delicious!

Love you both. #family

Going Back to My Roots

I know I keep throwing my divorce out there, at the most random of times, but I cannot express enough how relieved I am to be finished and ready for my next chapter; a true #newbeginning. I am looking forward to so many changes, and a very positive future. Today I am going to the DMV to change my name; I am going back to my maiden name. I think everyone should remember where they came from, good or bad, and to be able to reflect on it has made me appreciative to have had a loving home as a child. It has helped me process a lot in recent years and, although, sometimes I think that maybe forgetting would be easier, I am glad I have my experiences to know what I want for my 40’s and beyond. I will always have my maiden name as a part of who I am, from here on out.

Your Reading List

I have gotten back into reading now that I am settled and finally finished with the divorce. It is relaxing and I enjoy reading different subjects, much more than I used to. It seemed like one I found a subject, I would go to the book store and buy as many books on that one topic, that I could find. Now, I have a whole stack of books that are from all sorts of fields.

I am currently reading “Winter in Madrid”; it is a good read, but it took me awhile to get into it and now I can hardly put it down to go to sleep. While on our trip to PHX, I came home with three new books, but before I delve into those, I think I am going to read a book about the Lindbergh baby, or maybe one on Amelia Earhart. I also recently read an article on Eleanor Roosevelt, which has peaked my interest into more about her life. Has anyone a good recommendation on her? I am not too interested in the politics, but more her story.

What are you currently reading?

Second Week into September

Wow, it seems like we were just starting August, and here we are on the second week of September. I’ve had a lot of changes over the last couple of years, and it seems that there are more in the near future. All good things, though, I assure you of that!

Before I share my big news with you, let me give a big thank you to those of you that have stood by me. Most of you were happy for me when I made a big change, and you patiently stood by me without demanding answers that were not yours to have. Nothing changed with my site, with the exception of going 100% solo, but my cam schedule was sporadic through last summer and most of you checked on me throughout the days/weeks and were always quick to give a kind word. We did lose a couple along the way. Those who felt entitled to my decisions and felt they had been wronged in some, weird and twisted way. For me, it was a relief to see have those people walk away from me. To those who are still part of my life, thank you. You guys mean more to me than you might realize.

Now, on to my news. We are getting a dog and she will be picked up on Saturday. A beautiful golden retriever and she is going to be so sweet and loving. I cannot wait to share her with you all, on Twitter and VNA. lol. I might even have to open an instagram just for her.. or a Twitter account. I cannot decide which, to be honest. Either way, she will definitely be a star!

And, I am going to be making changes to my Snapchat account soon, in that I will be giving it out for FREE, but in order to see the boy/girl vids and pics, along with full on nudity, you will have to join my premium snapchat. I am still working out the details on that.

Also, I am thinking about doing a raffle through the holiday’s for baked goodies and a few other items. I am still working out the details on that, so stay tuned. Obviously, there will be a newsletter sent out regarding both the baked goods raffle and snapchat, when I am ready to offer both.

The Hot August Nights Special and the Burning Man Sale was a huge success, so thank you to all of the new joins. I hope that you are enjoying my site and that you will continue to come back for more.

Next Week

The next couple of week’s are going to be chaotic, as far as being online goes. I am going to take Labor Day off, which is rare for me, but I am ready for a break that does not entail me going out of town, shooting content or any other commitments. And, I will be leaving for PHX Thursday evening, but will return home Sunday. So, a quick trip, but one that will impact my cam schedule. The following week I will be online most of the week, except for Friday evening. Not much change there… here is what the schedule will be:

Week of Sept 2nd:

Sunday – on cam, like usual.

Monday (Labor day) – offline all day, except for the VNA LIVE member’s show at 11p EST

Tuesday and Wednesday – on cam and Wednesday will be the member’s show at 11p EST

Thursday – I will be online up to my normal dinner break, but won’t be back until Monday..

Week of Sept 9th:

Sunday – offline (traveling home from PHX)

Monday and Tuesday – on cam, like usual

Thursday – on cam, like usual

Friday – on cam up to my dinner break
