What is New in Your World?

It has been awhile since I have checked in with those of you that read my blog, so I thought today would be a perfect time to change that.

If you follow my tweets, read my blog and join me on cam, you probably know what is going on in my world, but, in the event that you are not up to date on the happenings in my world, allow me to share more:

Abby is 4 months old and I am positive that the terrible two’s have arrived and yes, they are real. She is getting taller, so she is lanky and still just as clumsy as ever. She has a vet appointment Tuesday for another round of puppy shots, but don’t worry, everyone that has to pet her for LOVE will give her a “cookie” or three. MtnMan’s strawberry patch that was overgrown has been tamed and destroyed. Thank you, Abby. I think he is going to remove all of that and replace it with Astro Turf.

I am only on cam today and tomorrow, and then will be offline through Sunday. We are going into the mountains and will be out of cell range most of the time, however, I will stay connected as much as possible. If you are a member, my site will continue to have Friday updates, and if you follow me on SnapChat, you will be able to join me in the mountains for some spur of the moment snaps..

We are just a few days away from my favorite month, and then only a couple weeks before my absolute favorite day. Thanksgiving.

That is all that comes to mind, for me, so now it is your turn. What is new in your world? I would love for you to respond with anything, even if you feel like it is minor.. like going to the local park for an evening stroll one last time before it turns cold…

Your Reading List

I have gotten back into reading now that I am settled and finally finished with the divorce. It is relaxing and I enjoy reading different subjects, much more than I used to. It seemed like one I found a subject, I would go to the book store and buy as many books on that one topic, that I could find. Now, I have a whole stack of books that are from all sorts of fields.

I am currently reading “Winter in Madrid”; it is a good read, but it took me awhile to get into it and now I can hardly put it down to go to sleep. While on our trip to PHX, I came home with three new books, but before I delve into those, I think I am going to read a book about the Lindbergh baby, or maybe one on Amelia Earhart. I also recently read an article on Eleanor Roosevelt, which has peaked my interest into more about her life. Has anyone a good recommendation on her? I am not too interested in the politics, but more her story.

What are you currently reading?

Bunny Sighting

Sunday Night MtnMan spotted a cottontail hopping out from the spaghetti squash and taking cover behind a couple big boulders. I only saw the top of his head, and he squished down further once he realized he could be spotted. Adorable!

I was hoping that he would take cover in amongst the veggies so that he could live with us, in harmony. lol. But, alas, he must have moved on because it is day 2 and there has been no sighting of his cute face.

I Tell You Mine, You Tell Me Yours

My weekend was busy, but amazing! I started my day going to a soccer game; we won. Then I stopped by to see MtnMan and he surprised me with lunch, which is always nice; I had tater tots. From there I went to the grocery store; the young man knew how to bag groceries, so no complaints there. I made it home and got started on the dresser project, but only had 2.5 hours to devote because I wanted to go fishing; we caught two bass. Priorities. Sunday I was on cam, earlier than usual so we skipped the diner.

So, about this dresser project. I have been applying paint to the cabinet for a few days now. After watching a video from a paint manufacturer on how to properly paint furniture, I have decided to take my time and basically dry brush each layer on. It looks good, but not as great as I was hoping. So, I will lightly sand the top and apply another coat; hopefully that will give me a smooth shiny surface I want. I have not even started on the drawers, feet or the mirror. Let me ask, what the fuck was I thinking? I really need to give MtnMan his garage back. Now, with that said, he has not said a word about it, and has no problem parking outside, but it is something that I should not have taken on. I mean, I have never fucking refurbished furniture before, and I am still questioning those who enjoy such tasks. lol.

Another “project” that has the other half of the garage taken up is drying out some family photos that I was able to salvage from Texas. Oy. My parents wedding album was completely soaked, but thankfully it was in a beautiful album that protected the pictures. However, I had to pull them out and lay them about to get the dampness out of them. Along with that, I have family obits, baby pictures and a box of random pictures going back generations… most were damp. I also have 100 year old newspaper articles from WWI and WWII and a few other notable events. Those were saved. All of which was in a gorgeous cedar chest, which protected everything enclosed for 50+ years… until the items were pulled out and left in the rain. But, that is neither here, nor there. It is what it is, and other than proving that I did the smart thing by walking away from such negative hate, I have what is most important.  My happiness and a future that is mine. So, there is that. lol.

I almost forgot to mention, I have Mom’s wedding gown that she made. It is beautiful and showing the age of time, but other than a few stains, I am going to try to get it professionally cleaned, if I can find someone that is willing to take the chance. I say that because it is 63 years old and it was handmade. It is in very delicate condition.

Now it is your turn. Tell me what has been going on in your world…

Another Gem . . .

While we were in Texas I had the amazing pleasure of meeting Amber. She is just as sweet in person and she is online, with a wicked sense of humor. When I started this 12 years ago, I had no idea I would meet so many wonderful people, and some would become lifelong friends. I have been so fortunate in this online world that has been created around my site.

Molly, thank you so much for making the drive to Bastrop to have breakfast with MtnMan and me, especially because your days off are scattered through your weeks and you hardly have time to relax as it is. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are an absolute gem, and one that I truly treasure.

Not Much Notice…

G’afternoon and a very happy Monday from me to you! I hope that you had a restful weekend, and that the week has gotten off to a fantastic start.

This week will be somewhat normal, with the exception of tomorrow (Tuesday). I am going to make a custom video in the morning, and then will be on cam, but it will be short lived. MtnMan needs to go out of town to pick something up and I have decided to ride with him. While gone I will be filming new content, so I will still be connected, just not on cam after 6p EST. I will be back online Thursday, normal time and this short out of town trip will not interfere with the member’s cam shows.

I hope to see you guys at the #VNALive member’s cam tonight at 11p EST –> gain access through the VNA banner on the club page of my site.

Stepping Up on a Soapbox

I am stepping up on a soapbox…

It truly fucking annoys me when some people respond to a comment, or a conversation, with an opposing view for the sake of argument. It is not cute and it certainly is not going to give you the kind of attention you might be craving. How about just have a conversation and not feel the need to interject with needless bullshit.

We all need that human connection, whether it be in person or through online avenues. Having a conversation is one thing, but disagreeing when their is no need for it is another. I am not suggesting that we all agree and have the same opinions; that would be boring. What I am saying is that not every comment is need for you to give a disagreeing position on.

You might get more attention or have greater amounts of response if you just have a conversation, without being combative for a response.

To be honest, I am less likely to respond to you now (or ever) if you are one to just argue. I used to know someone who thrived on arguing, even if he agreed, and it was fucking annoying. In fact, he is not liked among most groups of people and there is a reason for that.

Those who argue because you are bored, or you get a laugh out of it, are some annoying fucks! Good grief, just fucking don’t respond.

Yadda, Yadda, Chitty-Chatter

Last week was spent in Texas and away from my computer, but I still managed to spend a good part of the week doing new videos and content. I was active on Snapchat, adding vids and pics throughout my week, so join today so you don’t miss out on any of the fun. I do a little bit of everything on there, from solo selfies, to fun videos during content shoots and even roadside blowjobs, if the mood strikes. I also have fun while driving to the Post Office, getting completely naked and flashing truckers.

You might have heard that while I was in Texas my divorce was finalized. A huge relief to finally be done with that chapter in my life. My phone continued to erupt in fireworks and celebrations all the way through Sunday, thanks to my family of friends. I am truly fortunate to have a small group that are my family.

Since I was gone last week I have a few extra member’s shows that I will be doing over the course of the next few days. Follow my tweets and blog posts to stay up to date.

I have decided that it is time to tackle my furniture project, so Wednesday I will pick up the supplies and start that next Saturday. So, wish me luck on that!

No Member Shows This Week

This is a reminder that I won’t be online this week, so the member shows will be rescheduled for next week. This will be the only post, so I hope that you stay in touch with my tweets and blog posts, or else you might be confused when you look for me this week…

Next week the schedule is as follows:

Sunday – VNA at 11p EST

Monday – VNA at 11p EST

Tuesday – VNA at 11p EST

Thursday – VNA at 11p EST

No Crumbs in Bed!

BD- you are always so thoughtful and the last bundle you sent was a box of goodies to replenish my snack locker! Pretzels of all sizes, goldfish, and a couple boxes of ritz peanut butter crackers. I have always had a no-crumbs-allowed in my bed, and the only way to maintain that rule is to not eat anything that will create crumbs, while in bed, like pretzels. lol. I am breaking this rule daily now and I am not even upset about it!

Thank you for keeping my snack locker fully stocked!

Always a Thoughtful One

Thank you so much for always being thoughtful, kind and generous. It does not matter what your days are like, you always think of others first, whether it be your wit, kindness or thoughtfulness. You are a sweet, sweet lady!

Thank you for the soup, crackers, Victoria’s Secret coupons and the picture you sent off of my wishlist. I think I already know where it will be hung.

Tuesday Moved to Thursday

Last week I posted a thread regarding the 12 year long Tuesday show being moved to Thursday’s and that will begin this week. Consider this a friendly reminder and for details, please feel free to read through the threads previously posted…

I will still be online at the normal time, just not running the 1 hour LIVE show. If you find yourself on my site and would like some company, feel free to join the chat. You simply click through the banner on the club page and into my room you will be dropped. If I am running a “gold show”, you will have FREE access.

I have two requests: if you are in my chat room please at least respond to my “hello, how are you?” and do not ask that I run a gold show on your behalf. I do appreciate that you are a member and I run several member’s shows a week at specific times, as part of your membership. With that said, I run several gold shows a day, at random times, and depending on several factors, so to say you keep missing all of the free shows is not the right approach in winning my affection.

Ack! Another weekend in the rearview mirror, and a new week ahead of us. What do you do to find your motivation? Do you listen to your favorite playlist on the radio, or do you find your zen in a coffee cup? Maybe you love on your pets, or pester your person?

Sunday Funday!

Sunday’s are best spent being lazy and taking a chance to slow down, and prepare for the upcoming week. It is rare that I take the day to lounge, but when I do I love for it to be Sunday. Now that I think about it, it has been a couple of years since I have made a point to spend Sunday being lazy. Maybe I need to change that…

How do you like to spend your Sunday’s?

Saturday Plans

Whew! Today is busy from the time I open my eyeballs, until I go to sleep tonight. I am going into town to get my nails done and in order to do that without wasting 4 hours waiting, I must be standing outside the salon before they unlock the doors. That could be anywhere from 830-930, so I will be there at 845 and hope for the best! From there I am going to do a quick stop at my favorite antique store to see if they still have a dresser I spotted a couple weeks ago, and then to the grocery store.

Once I am home, and hopefully that is by noon, I will start working on new content for my site. It is something that I have been putting off the last couple weeks but now it is time to get focused again. I have big plans for August and hope you will continue to enjoy the videos and all of the many hours of LIVE cam shows that is included with a membership.

The Decision Has Been Made

Over the last month I have asked you guys about switching things up with the weekly member shows. For the last twelve years I have done a show every Tuesday night but I have been wondering if it is time to make a change. I tweeted, blogged and set up a poll on the site. After reading all of the reviews and comments I have decided to start doing Thursday’s at 11p EST. This change was made based on all of the comments, but also because I think that a Thursday show will break up the week for us all instead of having 2 back to back shows early in the week. I will probably do a 20 minute bonus on Tuesday’s at 8p EST, so if some of you prefer the earlier shows, you will not be left out… with that said, the Tuesday hour has dwindled in member participation over the last year, which is what first prompted my initial inquiry about making a change.

I look forward to spending an hour with you on Thursday night’s.

Friday Outing

I suppose this is a good a time as any to let you know that I will not be online Friday night. I am going to take the evening off and enjoy dinner out and about. I hope that you all know how much I have come to look forward to our evening chats, and maintaining a normal schedule helps with that; not just for me, but you! Whatever it is you decide to do with this free night I am giving you, I hope you enjoy it and have a great start to your weekend.

A Very Happy 4th to You!

G’afternoon! I hope this finds you doing well and having a great day. Whether you are in the states, or in some far off land, like Canada, I wish you a happy 4th! Maybe you are down under, in which case it is the 5th, no longer today, but tomorrow, and I bid you a g’day! If you are in Europe with my token Brit, I don’t suppose you celebrate today for anything more than what it is, for today is a good day for a good day!

If you are one who is spending the day doing celebratory festivities, I hope you stay safe and remember that it is Wednesday and you most likely have to work tomorrow. Don’t get too crazy, the weekend is near.

One last thing, and this is more a request with a very strong suggestion in the undertone. DO NOT SET OFF FIREWORKS. No one likes a neighbor who spends the next week setting off bottle rockets and things that go boom in the night sky (especially if it is daytime). People have pets and some even have PTSD. Just saying, think about it and if it is too late for you to be conscience of your surroundings make a change next year… and if you really could give a fuck less, then never mind the last paragraph, go about your day and have a happy celebration. I hope you are not one of the statistics of having less fingers on the 5th… okay, that is all. lol.

Your Votes . . .

Those of you that join me on the #VNALive network have been incredibly good to me! I had the 2nd best show of the month of June, making that yet another win. I wish I would have been keeping track of all of the wins you have given me, but I have not. What I do know is that I have been in the top three more times than not, and that is because of each and every one of you, so thank you!

Positive Vibes

There is so much negativity in the world, especially on social media, and it is easy to get sucked into it, or turn it off. Either way it still spreads the bad energy. For me, I tend to disconnect all together, but then I find myself staying off of Twitter, which is how I stay connected with you guys, so it can be a double-edged-sword.

For this post, I would love for you to share something positive. It can be regarding something that just happened this week, or years ago. That is up to you, and you can share more than one story, or be as vague as you would like. But, it requires good vibes.

I will go first-

For my birthday I had an overwhelming show of support and love. I have a very small group of close friends who have become my family, and each one of them showed love in their own ways. Bo, of Jo and Bo, called me to wish me a a happy birthday, and since we share the same day, it was a special phone call. Dawn and Rob sent a package with wind chimes which warmed my heart because this replaced a special set they gave me a couple years ago in honor of the famous cat, Nelson. It is not the same, but just as special because it is the thought that was put into it that made me smile. And, now each time I see them, I will smile and think of them. And, then there are those of you that took the time to find me online to send virtual birthday wishes and good vibes that reaffirmed that I am exactly where I need to be. Thank you.

Pet Peeve of the Week

My pet peeve of the week goes out to those who visit my cam room (through the cam site lonestarangel.cammodels.com) and talk to me about what you would love to do to me, but cannot go private because you are at work, or have a house full people. First, I am not an idiot. Second, using such a stupid excuse is just dumb and makes you a bigger douchebag than you already seem. If you can chat me up in a LIVE chat room for free, while at work or with family home, then you can goddamn do it in private.

Also, while I am at it, I seriously get annoyed when anyone comes into my chat, ignoring my greeting and says “gold show?” or, better yet, “it is kind of slow, don’t you want to do a gold show?” –> I could expand on this, but I won’t because it will only get uglier from here.. so, with that, I am done with this pet peeve rant.

Brings Back Memories . . .

We have had some good interaction with the latest blog posts, so I thought I would continue with something similar, but different.

What is the one season that if the weather is just right, it takes you back to yesteryear?

For me it is a warm spring day, with a cool breeze. I remember Mom opening all of the windows and there would be a fresh air and whimsical spirit flowing through the house as the breeze blew open the curtains. I would lie on the floor and enjoy an old western with her, or go to my room and daydream. It was so peaceful that I will always feel a sense of calm when I am taken back to that time…

Wile E. Coyote

As a kid, I loved Wile E. Coyote. He made me laugh and shake my head at the same time! I am not sure where my love for him came from. It could be that my maternal g’ma gave me a stuffed Wile E. on my 6th birthday and then my parents took my twin and I to see the elephants at the San Antonio Zoo. Although, not something I would do today, Dad and I rode one of the eles and I just wanted to hug and hug and hug on him. Dad took his cowboy hat off and pretended to be riding a bucking bull. Mom snapped a polaroid of Dad getting bucked and me just laughing my fat little face off.

What was your favorite cartoon?

On My Nightstand . . .

I just have a lamp, a framed picture, an elephant and a book on my nightstand.

My latest read is Ken Follett’s “Night Over Water” that is a fictional read based on non-fictional events during WWII. It was one that Dwwindsor suggested and Nictster sent to me.

I have not gotten too far because at the end of my cam day I am usually tired and start to drift off after a few pages, but I hope to spend some time reading it tonight and maybe tomorrow.

What is on your nightstand?

Yeah, About Yesterday’s Post

My cough has turned into a head cold, and after talking on the phone for awhile this afternoon I think that it is best if I take today to rest and hopefully get over the brunt of the cold. I will be back online Thursday and we will kick it off with gold shows and a few bonus ones for good measure. I will also be doing the weekly 1 hour cam show Thursday at 11p EST and would love to see you there to catch up and reconnect.
